Declaration of Faith (Shahada)
The essential step to become a Muslim is to declare the Shahada while accepting its statements from your heart.
The Shahada states, "Ashhadu an la ilaha illallah, wa ashhadu anna Muhammadan rasulullah"
( Listen Shahada in Arabic )
which means, "I bear witness that there is no deity but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah."
